J-Card Comment | Full Info File, the opening bands I did not download: Agnostic Front at Club Lido in Revere, MA, May 22, 2010 This was recorded with Zoom H2 with internal mics, on the low mic gain setting. H2 lined into computer by USB, wav sent to Magix Audio Cleaning Lab 12. Magix program was used for track markings, as well as a volume boost. Flac created with Trader's Little Helper, SBE fixing and torrent creation also done with TLH. SETLIST: Agnostic Front- -Victim In Pain -Blind Justice -Last Warning -United And Strong -Power -Hiding Inside -Fascist Attitudes -Society Sucker -Your Mistake -With Time -The Eliminator -Toxic Shock -Public Assistance -Dead To Me -For My Family -Friend Or Foe intro -Friend Or Foe -United Blood -Crucified -Gotta Go -Riot Riot Upstart -Police State -Pauly The Dog -Addiction The sound quality on most of this gets at least an A-, and sounds pretty amazing at times, in my opinion anyways (check the samples). Milo's Syndicate's set was in progress when I walked in, so the recording starts really quiet, and a minute in gets really loud. That band are old friends of mine (Nate Linehan, ex-Anal Cunt drummer, became their drummer from a referral from me), and it was cool to see them play for a decent crowd. Next up, Ashers. I started recording them mid-song, and I only recorded another two full songs. They are Mark Unseen's current project, and I really wasn't feeling it. Refuse Resist - I have liked these guys for a while. Great band, solid set. Another band, called Outbreak, also played, but I didn't record their set at all. I had a lot of friends (including my wife) at this show, so I spent a bit of time outside during Outbreak's and Ashers's sets. Agnostic Front played their whole Victim In Pain LP (isn't there actually a song missing here?), as well as newer songs and classic tracks. The recording is pretty steady, recorded from the edge of the pit (about 10 heads away from the stage). The only time I stepped away was to buy a beer at the start of Addiction (people start yelling about straight-edge stuff and I get thirsty), but that takes less than a minute. There is a small bit of distorted crackling during some louder moments of Milo's Syndicate's set, because the recorder levels were maxxed out and I didn't realize it at the time. It's not that notice-able, and the set sounds good. Logically enough, the opening bands fit nicely onto one cdr, and Agnostic Front's set fits onto one cdr as well. This would have been a video, but you need clearance from management to film. Audio recording is fine, though. Enjoy - don't sell, don't circulate as lossy, and give credit to crematia13 when posting elsewhere. |
