Note | Rolling Stones - Cut The Crap.....and most of the Intros (C2C 19)
I sent the tape (1nd generation cassette, show not recorded by me) to a guy connected to Coast2Coast upon his request. Their guy did some remastering to it and they released this. I can't remeber how we came in contact with each other, pretty sure it was a trade tho' and he really liked the sound and wanted to press it, so I let him. CD -> WAV(EAC) -> FLAC(TLH) -> You Here are the notes from Tommy Brun's website for this recording: The day after on July 19th, they performed another great show at the Hughes Stadium, Fort Collins, Colorado. This was the show when Elton John joined them on stage. Elton refused to leave the stage after the first number ( HTW) the only song he know! And continued playing odd chords here and there, Stu could´nt get to the piano so he was not playing at this show, just Reg from Watford, as Mick introduced Elton. they must have turned his amp down as it´s hard to hear him after Honky Tonk Women. This is a great up front recording and the sound quality is great on all releases, but best on Coast to Coast, CUT THE CRAP And most of the intros, C2C 19, (VG+), VGP copied this great Cdr and released it as MORE ROCK FROM ELTON, VGP-275, they also added three bonus tracks, Rocks Off, Dance Little Sister, and Luxury from Baton Rouge June 1st . The first release from this show was “ I´M WORKING SO HARD†(To keep you in LUXURYâ€) Black Light BL 2002/2003 Also with three bonus tracks but here we get Sure The One You Need, Luxury and Heartbreaker from Milwaukee June 8th (They say the 6th on the cover). This release have not the full rich sound as the two others but is also very good. The drawback we can find on all three are the cuts on most of the intros as well are most of Mick´s talking in between the songs missing. The show was almost as good as the day before and here we got one the best versions of Midnight Rambler. Pretty much sums it up. Some reports say EJ played the whole show but he didn't. Five or six tunes MAYBE, I can't positively remember. I do remember the Stones having trouble getting him off the stage which finally he did. |
