NoteThere is strong evidence that Bob Dylan almost started crying during the last two lines of the "Einstein verse" in Desolation Row. Members in the front row in the audience report that they saw tears pouring out of his eyes and that he stepped back and spoke briefly with Jackson and Garnier and then retreated to the back of the stage while the band went into a lengthy instrumental. He then came back and finished the song. Desolation Row was not played until April 14, when the same thing happened again!
