NoteGeetarz Comments:

The final day of rehearsals for the "Nothing But the Blues" tour was filmed for release in various markets on various iterations of the VH-11 channel.

As with most programs of this type, VH1 contracted out the recording and editing to Ken Erlich Productions.

Several edits were produced for approval from the network, and broadcast in different markets.

This master tape recording contains two such edits. Astute observers will note the lack of a broadcast "VH1" watermark on the screen.

The first edit, "From the Heart / The Last Rehearsal", has superb stereo audio, and is intercut with "talking head" interviews with the band and crew.

The second edit, later broadcast in the U.S. on VH1, is edited very differently, with most interview segments featured as overdubs.

Although the two edits are similar in length, the interview content doesn't duplicate much, as each version has material not featured in the other.

Overall, a fascinating, pro-shot look at the final tour rehearsals, and from a pre-broadcast VHS source.
