Note | Bob Marley & The Wailers
July 12, 1980 Deeside Leisure Centre Queensferry, Flintshire, Wales 92 minute Soundboard recording. Very good sound quality but the bass is a bit too high in the mix (typical for Marley soundboard recordings) and there are a few dropouts mostly near the source tape's flip point. Remanstered October 2005 from previous seed. Flac files from previous seed > xACT > Digidesign Pro Tools > AIFF files > Toast Titanium > CD. Flac files re-encoded & sector boundaries verified with xACT. md5 file created with checkSUM+. [cut] 1:31 I'm reposting this because I think that I was able to improve it a lot. Besides the TAO errors, there were quite a few thumps and clicks associated with the transfer that I was able to edit out seamlessly. Also the cuts in War and No More Trouble have been made less noticeable with edits and level adjustments. I re-edited the disc change point to put just the encores on CD#2 and the I-Three songs at the beginning of CD#1 and removed the overlap. That way if anyone wants to do the disc transition point differently it can be done without much trouble. Thanks to the original seeder! ENJOY! |

Comment | Often labeled as Chester, England. Deeside Leisure Centre is actually located in a town called Queensferry in Wales. Sometimes also mislabeled as Crystal Palace 80. Has a very slow mellow feel but still very intense. According to a newspaper article the show closed with "Get Up, Stand Up", so the circulating source is incomplete. More songs are likely missing. |
