| Note | Definately VHS sourced, but this has aged quite well. The taper moves around a bit, but most of the show is shot from the left side of the stage with plenty of pans to capture everyone in the band. The sound is quite good considering the limitations of the equipment, but to be fair, both audio and video lean toward the B- range. A couple of sad flaws here. Firstly, the taper turned off the camera between songs, so there are some edits between tunes that chop off a good chunk of the banter (Really? Of all bands? Didn't the taper realize that Frank's banter is probably the best in the genre?). Secondly, Reincremation is chopped about two minutes in, then the song starts over and plays in its entirety. This may have been a burning error, but it's there. The show ends abruptly near the end of Prelude To Repulsion, so I'm not sure if this is complete or not, but this appears to be the case with all circulating copies. Despite these issues, the show is sick as hell, and the setlist features several tunes that haven't been played since this era. Brutal and awesome, flaws or not. |
