NoteDef Leppard early in their career at the famous Reading Festival 1980. While this would seem like a great show for them, they were treated horribly by the fans. Beer, vegetables and other things were thrown at them and they were booed. Sentiment in England at the time was that they had sold out to America, largely based on the song off their first album entitled "Hello America".
