Note | I started by turning each source into one file in Sound Forge, then I EQ'd both sources. AUD #1 (jonohull's recording) was very nice and clear but still sounded a little thin. I made it clearer and a little louder, also turned up the mids very, very little. One problem with this source is that it seems to go out of phase back and forth a little during the first two songs. AUD #2 (ademotte's recording) required a little bit more work. The problem with this source is that it was too muddy and somewhat distorted, also it was kinda roomy (which sounded bad with the other source.) After some work in Sound Forge, it sounded pretty alright.
I added both sources to ACID, adjusted the levels, synced up both tracks then mixed down to a single track. Opened it in Sound Forge, made some more minor adjustments and split it into FLACs. I spent nearly a whole month working on this and testing how it sounds like with headphones, speakers and my car's speakers and this the final result. There's a few more things in the recording i'd like to fix but I cant because it's an audience recording and there's only so much you can do. |
