| Comment | This is volume One, of a 4 CD series called "When I Need TV I Got T Rex" the title comes from a famous line in Mott The Hoople's, All The Young Dudes.
This CD contains live material from 1971 to 1977. It has performances from US TV shows, German Beat Club, Get It Together, Marc Show, Supersonic etc. Marc Bolan is doing an acoustic duo with Cilla Black on the Cilla Show in 1973. They do a great version of "Life's A Gas" a very unique version. There are also performances from "Top Of The Pops" from a number of years. Sleeve notes state that all recordings are taken from master tapes, not broadcast tapes. The quality throughout is excellent, this is live, vintage T Rex at it's best. |
