NoteThe owner of this tape gave me this source information: "taped from a TV
set with a microphone held near the speaker." To me, it sounds like an
audience recording. It lacks the usual buzz from the TV, for one thing.
And I would think Wakeman would have been better miked than this if it was
a professional production for TV, even one from 1974.

The recording quality is fair, not audiophile by any means. Still, my sources
tell me there are no other recordings of this material from this date,
although it carries the same date and venue as the official recording of
"Journey to the Center of the Earth." My guess is that this is the remainder
of the program. Its rarity makes it a nice find. I equalized the material
and adjusted levels so Wakeman's commentary is more audible, and reduced
excessive tape hiss along the way.

Wakeman's introductions are tracked separately from the music, which include:

Commercial TV Piano Concerto
Catherine Parr
The Road to Ruin
Catherine Howard
Anne Boleyn
Another Rick Jape (well, that's what the J-card in the cassette case says!)
