That being said, if you have a light sensitivity, a Skinny Puppy concert is the last place you should go to. I ended up leaving early because the non stop relentless strobe light effects were really bugging out my vision. This is the SECOND time I have had to leave a Skinny Puppy concert because of obnoxious lights. Next time I'll wear welding goggles! Also, the sound at the Royal Oak Music Theater is notoriously inconsistent. The fact that the previous show to play there was comedian Bob Saget, tells you the sound people have a variety of loudness levels to deal with. (I though I kept the advertisment for the venue that had Bob Saget next to Skinny Puppy, but I misplaced it, probably for the best.) When I saw Peter Murphy here last year, he was noticelby annoyed by one of the guitars being almost absent and the sound at Delerium kept changing for the first few songs. The bass was waaay to loud for this show. So much so that it made your ribcage vibrate and the songs sound muffled. I thought the recording would be bad which is another reason why I left early, but I have to give credit to my microphone for cutting down the bass to a listenable level. The bass was turned off when I transferred this recording. I probably would have stayed had I known the recording would turn out so well.
