Info hash 5275e2b7f38b9e70784e4a7ebd3d25aab09d0651 Description --------------------------------------------------------------------- TO ANYONE WHO EVER CONSIDERS THE USE OF NOISE REDUCTION - there is absolutely NO case in which anyone would have to make use of it (pls read below). i'm sure there are a lot of people (like me) who really disgust the NR-feeling and the unnatural artifacts. when one really starts editing audio yourself more ofton you will soon understand how aweful it is to work on audio that has been noise- or hiss or whatever it's called- reduced. -PLEASE USE NOISE REDUCTION FOR YOURSELF AND IF YOU POST REMASTERS OF SHOWS WITH NR PLEASE ALSO PROVIDE IT RAW. !ANYONE WITH A HEALTHY SET OF BRAINS WHO WOULD PREFER TO REDUCE NOISE ON AUDIO IS ABLE TO DO IT BY HIMSELF FOR HIMSELF! -NOISE REDUCTION ALGORITHMS ARE ACTUALLY HISTORY!! SINCE I LEARNED WORKING WITH ADOBE AUDITION'S DYNAMICS PROCESSING, I'M ABLE TO REDUCE HIS OR NOISE WITHOUT EVEN THE SLIGHTEST NOISE-REDUCTION-A-LIKE-ARTIFACTS (FART-FX) USING ONLY COMPRESSION ! feel free to pm me about this ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The original audio must have been edited by someone who was born with his head in hiss #ss.. I have never come across audio so severely injured and ruined by NR as on this dvd originally No matter whoever you are, if you are on dime and you might read this; you should be ashamed of yourself and never touch any audio or video again, for the sake of musical-concert reproduction and enjoyement. Nevertheless my deepest respect and thank you's to dimebaghb for (re?)posting the dvd- and to ricola for posting the audio- used for this project! i never could have done anything without you guys supplying your traded stuff, THANKS SO MUCH! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- pheeww.. sorry folks for this little exaggeration of me but i just had to get these messages out. Let's move on to the real deal! After all i was planning on doing this when i could get my hands on this video anyway, so it was pure fun all the way from when i got up early yesterday morning aiming to get it done and up before the weekend. what i did is: -synced the soundboard tracks (upsampled to 48 kHz) to the original audio from this dvd in multitrack (Audition 3) -seperately re-encoded the video to allow for the extra 1280 kbps of the new pcm audio stream and because of the overload of brightness originally added, correcting that at the same time resulted also in a video quality upgrade -last of all i authored the elementary video and audio together with correct chapter-marks in TMPG dvd author. so this makes: General Complete name :VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_0.IFO Format : DVD Video Format profile : Program File size : 48.0 KiB Video Format : MPEG Video Format version : Version 2 Bit rate mode : Variable Width : 720 pixels Height : 480 pixels Display aspect ratio : 4:3 Frame rate : 29.970 fps Standard : NTSC Audio Format : PCM Channel(s) : 2 channels Sampling rate : 48.0 KHz Language : English extra notes: Little gaps between songs with the new audio were all patched and cross-faded with the original audio there are two patches in music spots 1) is a few seconds of Allan's chord intro of Improvisation/Material Real that was missing in the new audio 2) there was a one sec. skip in the solo of Protocosmos of the new audio which is also patched and faded from the original audio but since the last track seems to come from a different source than the rest of the video with better audio, it is barely audible.
