This show sounds very nice, although I cannot give the exact lineage. I received it in a tape trade some time in 1986, so I know that my copy was not too far from the master. The sound quality supports that as well. Although this was not recorded by David Thomas, it sounds similar to his stuff, with a nice rich sound. This probably deserves about a B+ due to some minor distortion in places, but I’m supplying a sample so you can hear for yourself. This is a typical ’85 show with a nice setlist, tight performance, and good energy. I’m uploading this and a few others at clumsiloe’s suggestion, because apparently there are only poor quality and incomplete versions in circulation. Somebody please create some cover artwork!
