J-Card Comment | R.E.M. – The Playpen, Wildwood, NJ - July 16, 1984 Audience master > ? > Cassette > CDR > dBpowerAMP > WAV > FLAC Frontend > Flac files Here’s a nice audience recording that I have not seen in wide circulation, so it might be new to most of you. I do not know the lineage, but I received my tape in a trade in early 1986, so there are probably only a few cassette generations in there. It has a full sound with no audience interference, but is probably about a B+ at best. Give the sample a try. The show is well played and straightforward. The band pretty much stuck to business, and did not say much or play any odd covers. But I haven’t heard too many ’84 shows that sound as good as this, so it’s a nice one to have. 1. Second Guessing 2. Just A Touch 3. Driver 8 4. Time After Time 5. Hyena 6. Letter Never Sent 7. Pilgrimage 8. Seven Chinese Brothers 9. Talk About The Passion 10. So. Central Rain 11. Pretty Persuasion 12. Gardening At Night 13. 9-9 14. Windout 15. Old Man Kensey 16. Radio Free Europe 17. Little America 18. White Tornado 19. There She Goes Again 20. Bandwagon 21. Sitting Still 22. Chicken Train 23. (Don't Go Back To) Rockville 24. Carnival Of Sorts (Boxcars) |
