I stood in front of one of the support columns. This allowed me to stand with my mics pointing to the stage a few feet above the crowd's heads and not blocking anyone's view. Unfortunately, the guy who had a seat to my left felt I was crowding his space, and the guy to my right was drunk and he also enjoyed that spot.
