Radio show / discussion devoted to Syd Barrett: A retrospective of his career, tracing his influence on Pink Floyd through all eras of the band's history. To our knowledge, the first-ever radio proram on commercial American airwaves, anyway - devoted solely to Syd (and Pink Floyd in relation to Syd).

Hosted by Jim DeRogatis (author of "Kaleidoscope Eyes," the definitive history of psychedelic rock from 1960's through 1990's, and "Let It Blurt," pioneering biography of Lester Bangs), and Greg Kot. Includes previously unheard interviews with Gilmore and Mason.

This massive collection of demos, live, and otherwise unreleased material stands as one of the finest (and most elusive) chronicles of the early career of one of the most eccentric, reactionary, experimentary, overall brilliant artists of our time. The span of the recordings run primarily from 1967 to 1969, placing it during the most chaotic time of the artist's career.
