The Rail Song 4:15 22. 1967 6:17 I received this as an authored DVD (no author information on disk). However, it was seriously in need of color correction as everything in the video was one shade or another of red and the audio needed EQing. So I did an analog capture via this equipment arrangement: DVD player > GTH Electronics ACE > Canopus ADVC-100 > harddrive I fixed the color and got rid of some ghosting on the edges of the the images in the video. I also EQed the audio - getting rid of the dull low end and making the guitar and vocals sound more brighter. There is a little hiss in the audio still. I considered removing it, but ultimately decided not to because I think the result would have sonically affected the music too much (i.e., yes the hiss would have been gone - but so would the warmth of much of Adrian's guitar tone). I wasn't able to bring it back to "A" quality - but it's pretty close. Adrian plays solo throughout the show - steel guitar, acoustic, and electric. Sometimes he uses loops and drum tracks. He talks a lot with the audience between some songs. This is a very crowd interactive performance - by one of the prog guitar masters. He takes song requests and plays some songs that he obviously hasn't played in years - something not many performers will attempt to do. I had no information regarding the actual date of this show. I found a tour database of Adrian's for 1999 (see weblink below) that indicates he played in Pittsburgh on July 29, 1999. This date is confirmed further by Adrian when he mentions during the show that he is playing in Buffalo the next night (which is also what the database reflects). datebase located at: http://www.elephant-talk.com/gigs/tourdates_1999.shtml Silver Stallion DVD Productions
