| Note | This is a good recording of a total debacle. Consequently it may or may not be for Husker Du/Grant Hart completists only. Here's what happened: Nova Mob played with the most excellent and underrated Magnolias at the Khyber. For some reason the place was packed with knuckleheaded jocks. During Grant Hart's set it was pandemonium. I was getting knocked around pretty good and I was more or less out of the way. GH had beer spilled on him, beers kicked over on the stage, and finally he got hit in the face - HARD - with his mike when a circle dancing jock plowed into the mike-stand just as GH went to sing. That was the show. He was done. I couldn't blame him. The show really has some moments though. And it'll fit on the end of something - you gotta love that. |
