US$500. Mics were physically separate left / right channel lines which fed back to a single stereo line into the deck; I'm not sure of my buddy's mic placement. The copy I got was a direct digital burn from the DAT recorder to CDR shortly after the show, with tapemarks paced on the Marantz. This source came from that CDR set, extracted via EAC / reports included - as close to the original as is possible now. The Residents weren't my buddy's cup of tea, so I believe the DAT tape was not retained & was recorded over. The only thing I did on the computer was fix 1 digital click (see below). This FLAC fileset comes from the EAC extracts, which did not need SBE corrections. NOTES As this is as close to the original master as possible & isn't too bad to start with, please DON'T remaster and repost it. We had 2nd row center seats, and the sound there was impeccable; the mics pick up some amazing detail, esp. the kbds. My buddy recorded it, he's done hundred of shows & has this down pat; this is as close to perfect as it gets. There was 1 digital tic at the beginning of my disc 2 before the fade-in (fixed here), that's about the only flaw I heard. The band was smokin', the audience was boisterous & really into the show, and this tape captures the feel of it all quite nicely. - - - - I'm a bit of a newbie on DIME, but I don't believe I'd seen an Icky Flix tour show out here before I recently put one up. (We're missing a Demons show too now - when I first signed up I think someone had DDA Atlanta up there but I didn't get it / I'd love to see that reseeded.) Given the recent Icky Flix Live DVD release (hope you got one!), I think it's time to get some more up. - - - - I know I gave out copies of this to both trader friends & other Residents fans. This is probably its first time up here on DIME, and now it's certainly as close to the source as can be. Crank it up and ENJOY! it as I have, and share it so others can hear it. - - - - Nothing is missing from the show; there was a bit of overlap between disc 1 & 2 for fade-out and fade-in. - - - - Filenames have numbers on the end that are the TIMES (ex. - "...-359" is 3min59sec long). I mark the start of tracks when the music or count-in begins, not the talking about it before it starts. - - - - The usual schmack applies here: Please don't post this anywhere but DIME. Please retain this original info file data with any reseedings. Please don't transfer to MP3 or other lossy formats. Please only trade this with others, don't sell it. Please support the artists involved by purchasing their official product in massive quantities. |
