Reduced to the essential ones and zeroes by Doug Gagliardi at Kloze 'n' Play Studios in Summer 1999. CD itself has only the words "Thoughfulness springs from the heart." My copy was bought at Newbury Comics in Burlington, MA, USA 10/99. I've seen this on eBay for up to $130! Distributed without Beck's permission, so it was limited to 2000 copies and then discontinued. When asked about how he felt about the rerelease at the November 23rd 1999 TWEC.com chat, Beck said: "I've been really involved in what I'm doing currently, and it's been hard for me to find time to go back to the older stuff and figure out what to do with it. Golden Feelings is one of 10 or 12 tapes that I made during that period. I always plan to take the best stuff and release it somehow. Golden Feelings itself, I think there are some good songs on there. It was never meant to be an album. It was released as a tape cassette. To me it represents a work in progress. It has some moments, but I wouldn't call it an album." |
