Built to Spill/The Delusions/Brett Netson @ First Avenue in Minneapolis, MN 09.04.01

The show opened up at 6 o'clock. The venue was barely packed as the opening act was about to hit the stage.
And finally at 8 o'clock, Built to Spill hit the stage. Guitarist/Vocalist Doug Martsch looked as if he had just got done running on a treadmill for a couple hours before the show; sporting a sweatband and some scraggily clothes. Bassist Brett Nelson and drummer Scott Plouf provided ample support for Doug's choppy guitar licks, while Brett Netson (not Nelson) and Robert Roth (guitarists/vocalists for The Delusions) sprinkled their colorful guitar and keyboard parts. This show was all ages and they played an ID show the next night.
