So, I can't really say how many people got it. Probably not as many who wanted it. In any case, this is an upgraded version. Continuing the pooled efforts of the Los Lobos fan community, Ken Young remastered the original DVD to include a tasteful menu with song titles and correct chapter links. The TV shows are now also in chronological order. Many thanks to Ken and all the others who dedicated their efforts in preserving and getting these videos onto DVD. Below are the relevant notes that accompanied my original seed. *********************************************** This DVD is a product of the typically wonderful collaborative efforts of 'The Neighborhood' [http://loslobos.net/mb/index.php], a message board for fans of Los Lobos and a highly recommended place to visit. It has evolved from a post by a member a few months ago inquiring as to the oldest known Los Lobos recording. Member Ric Ovalle, a long-time friend of the band made a few suggestions and, to his own (he'd forgotten about them, see) and everybody's surprise, later announced that there was even video to accompany these early and uncirculated recordings. He dusted off the old videotapes and, at first, proposed a video - as in VHS - vine. But the door was open to get the original VHS to DVD and Rich Rice responded with an offer to transfer. A vine was then set up through 'The Neighborhood' by Jeff Hagood, who sent me a copy so that I might get it out in a torrent. The four TV shows included on the DVD are: 1. Los Lobos del Este de Los Angeles - A PBS documentary-type show from 1975(!) when the band was fronted by Frank Gonzalez, the Pete Best of Los Lobos. Louie introduces him as the founding member of the band and someone who can play any instrument. This video has the well-bearded band in concert at East L.A. College working through a repetoire of traditional songs. Total length 27:51 01. (Introduction) 4:21 02. El Torito 2:58 03. Las Tres Huastecas 2:51 04. Sabor A Mi 4:29 05. Siete Leguas 3:14 06.
