I combined this version by mixing the two sources circulating (both seeded on Lossless Legs):(both seeded on Lossless Legs): the aud which has great sound (for an aud) and the clean but somewhat thin-sounding partial sbd. In spite of all the theoretical difficulties of such an approach, the end result sounds noticeably better than either source, at least to my ears. The purists might disagree... |

Tech Note | David Murray Octet March 06, 1997 with special guests Phil Lesh & Bob Weir The Fillmore, San Francisco, CA inamorata edition I combined this version by mixing the two sources circulating (both seeded on Lossless Legs): the aud which has great sound (for an aud) and the clean but somewhat thin-sounding partial sbd. In spite of all the theoretical difficulties of such an approach, the end result sounds noticeably better than either source, at least to my ears. The purists might disagree... If you want to know which parts come from the aud alone and which ones are mixed aud+sbd you can get an idea from looking at the .png screenshot of the ProTools edit window. Tracks which come from the aud only were left unchanged except for levelling out volume with the edited tracks. All tracks, however, were retracked. No NR or EQ was applied. If you burn this to CDs use the overlap files (10 seconds each) for smooth fades. If you play the files from HD just throw them away and you have the continous sound without breaks.
