Source: This collection features many rare 78s from different artists, but it has one thing in common, Parker playing on of them. The Dizzy recordings are some of the first bebop put on tape and they are on fire (if Dizzy playing Charlie didn't tell you that already) The Sir Charles Thompson features the only time on tape we get to hear Parker with Dexter Gordon. His own session is very well known as it also has Dizzy, who is playing piano(!) so the young kid, Miles Davis, can play the trumpet. It's a famous session and well worth a hear, or two hundred!
