Goode Encore: 07) Waste * First time played (Ween Cover) ** Portions of this show were used in the production of "Bittersweet Motel" notes: the original source listed for this show at circulation was [SBD > D8 > CDR > EAC > MKWact > Shn]. This is questionable since there was a large amount of hiss (ie 12-29-98 CM), and seemingly a tape flip in between "Maze" and "Dirt". There was another drop-out or flip during the DWD (reprise) that was removed and cross-faded with CEP. There were also some tracking issues with the original circulation. All of these anomalies were corrected with Cool Edit Pro 1.2a and Soundforge 5.0. The hiss was removed from the recording with the noise reduction feature in CEP. The silence from the dropout or flip (actually happened during crowd noise in between songs) was removed and the remaining portions were cross-faded with the multi-track function in CEP. The tracking problems were corrected with either CEP or CDWav, depending if they needed to be merged or split. Appropriate fades (in - out) were placed with Soundforge 5.o. Since begining working on this version I have noticed that there are three shn's circulating with the CM lineage listed, altough I don't believe that anyone has put this much work into it. This show is now seemingly flawless, so listen for yourself! |
