| J-Card Comment | Notes: Attented this show with USblues and we bought GA tickets. We had a good view and were back from the left speaker stack about 45 feet. Bruce is hard to record with very soft and and loud passages of music. Bruce put on a strong performance and the show was over 2+ hours long. He played acoustical piano then played with his band. Bruce talks quite a bit inbetween songs and some of that I cut out but no music was lost from that. This was on 3 sides of cassettes and one tape flip the song got cut. This venue is a 100 year old barn which seats 1200 with a very tall ceiling. When the music is soft the sound is quite good but when it gets really loud the sound fills the entire barn and this can cause problems with bass in the recording. Post processing done in wavelab. To get rid of the bass overload, a reduction was necessary in the lower bass. This makes the recording sound tinner then it was, but I believe it is still a good recording. Very little crowd noise for 1200 concert attendees. Guessed on the song titles. |
