Notes: Fourth time I've seen them and taped them and they are a consistently excellent live band. The new album promises to be excellent based on the songs previewed here. Mics mounted pretty close together on jacket zip pointing upwards towards stack. First time at this venue - 1000 capacity but I don't think there were that many there as there was plenty of space. Really liked it, good audience and well done to the young bloke who has started booking all the excellent bands there, long may it continue. Staff were really friendly and it was a relaxed atmosphere. If you live in the midlands check it out, well worth a visit. http://www.kasbahnightclub.com/whatson.aspx Sound was a bit off in the venue for the first few songs - this was confirmed by my mate and his wife who were about half way back. I moved position a fair few times when it got a bit wild. I stayed in the same general area, but there is some evidence of me moving position on the recording. Not much talking to be heard in general, a couple of girls in front of me pipe up at the start of Bloodthirsty Bastards and my wife rather embarassingly thought the intro to Last Of The Small Town Playboys was a Libertines song and announces the fact - bless her! Please listen to mp3 samples before downloading.
