Set 1 | Pink Floyd
‘Lights’ Feature, Tomorrow’s World, BBC Broadcast 17 January 1968 Recorded December 1967 [Barrett, Waters, Mason & Wright] - Mike Leonard ‘Lights’ Discussion [4.37] - Instrumental Piece [1.51] It is the insert film for the edition transmitted on 17.1.68, but it will have been filmed in December 1967 because the start of the item has film of Xmas TOTP studio rehearsals [NOT featuring the Floyd though !] it then cuts to their lighting man's house in Archway where the Floyd are playing, with Barrett ! Surely the last film of Floyd with their esteemed genius. The band were present to illustrate the sound/ light technique and were seen performing an unknown instrumental reported in the press as being penned by Waters and Mason. The footage is taken direct from a BBC DVD Viewing Copy and is therefore excellent picture & sound quality. The complete piece runs for just over 6 minutes with just the final couple of minutes given over to PF performing an unknown instrumental piece, 30 seconds of which is spoken over. Lineage: Un-Edited Archive Viewing Copy Direct to DVD 4:3 Screen Ratio [6.35] |
