| Note | There was a 2 song encore which was not recorded due to the fact that this concert took place on an Island, and the only way back to the mainland was via ferry.....a 2 hour wait ferry. I assume the taper, like myself stuck around for the last song in the initial set list, and then used it as a cue to leave in hopes of beating the long long wait back to the mainland.
Regardless, Modest Mouse was on fire this night. Broken Social Scene raised the bar pretty high (premiering a number of new songs early into their set) but Modest Mouse came through and matched them. While Kevin Drew constantly felt the need to rant on end with what’s wrong with the world, Isaac Brock just slipped in a subtle comic anecdote here and there. Both left many scratching their heads as their comments pretty much came out of left field. |
