J-Card Comment"I spent two years in Austin last night. Old Willie knows how to get his buddies messed up. Take you to a farm house and leave ya. You all be careful now..." Waylon Jennings talking to the crowd as he starts playing Good Hearted Woman - Arlington, Texas - 1974 Waylon Jennings and his band of Waylors performing in Arlington, Texas in 1974. You could say that this recording and performance came right at the birth of the Outlaw Movement in country music. I have been unable to find the exact date, but this recording was apparently broadcast live on 95 FM KAMC Radio - Arlington/Fort Worth. You can hear a live radio disc jockey at the start of track 11 describing the setting and quickly giving out the call letters. He comes back briefly later and really seems to be in a state of disbelief of what he's hearing and witnessing as he's describing the likes of Kris Kristofferson, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Billy Joe Shaver, and of course, the main man on the stage, Waylon Jennings. This is a nice recording, especially for the time period and place in history. Hell, it would be a nice recording if it was last night at the local bar. There seems to be some slight distortion towards the end during Me And Bobby McGee. Sounds like radio interference. I have been attempting to share a lot of my favorite live recordings and bootlegs with the community of Hunger City. There are many times that I listen to an old live recording and think, "Damn, I wish I was there." This show makes me really, really, wish I was there. Granted, I would have been about 6 at the time, it really makes you miss and appreciate these legends that passed briefly through country music. It makes you wish that modern country wasn't in the toilet. This was originally seeded on Dime about two or three years ago by DylanMusic. The information that I have is included. Artwork is included. Enjoy! And please help me with seeding so that I can move along and upload some other favorites from my collection. 33RPM AQUIRED CDR > EAC > GLITCH REMOVAL > WAV > FLAC > CDR > EAC (3/9/07) > WAV > FLAC Waylon Jennings and The Waylors Arlington, Texas XX/XX/1974 1 Louisiana Women 2.
