I was in attendance with members of a band I played with. We did several HEART songs in our show, so we were all kicked up at being there. The opening acts were -- the guy who did MAGNET AND STEEL, and AMBROSIA. AMBROSIA is one of my all time favorite bands, so this was a major night in my youth! This concert was recorded on October 16, 1976 during HEART's DOG AND BUTTERFLY tour. From what I was told, it was multi-track recorded, and HEART took the tapes with them. Someone from the HEART organization mixed the tapes and sent a copy to WDVE FM who had sponsered the show. With permission, the concert was aired. The show was aired a second time, and I recorded it off air with a TEAC reel to reel recorder. If I remember correctly, I used an expensive stand alone recorder and did tracks on the fly as I recorded to cd several years ago. I used Soundforge 6 now, to work on the wave and then FLACfrontend to create the FLAC files. |
