Comment | This is a short film that covers the life of 20th Century heavyweight, Ken Kesey. Set against the backdrop of images, clips and music of the 1960's, "Alive and Trippin'" does a fine job of covering the significance of Ken Kesey's workfrom his days at Stanford University until the final trek of the fabled bus "Further". The link between the Merry Pranksters and today's Deadheads is clearly established. This video is rich with early footage that is fresh and rarely circulated. Lots of Prankster footage, interviews, and good vibes.
Wonderful narration by Levon Helm. Interviews: Ken Kesey (1935 – 2001) Ken Babbs Mountain Girl Hunter S. Thompson (1937 – 2005) |
