I was thinking about driving down to this show all week, and I finally pulled the trigger the day before, securing a floor seat on TicketBastard. I drove down to this sucker and pulled off one of the best recordings of this tour, IMHO. Because I was on the floor, security was all around and I really had to wait until the house lights went down to get the mics exactly where I wanted them. I accomplished this a minute into "You Really Got Me" and from there on the sound is clear, crisp, well balanced and up front. There is very little audience chatter, and the whistles, claps and screams are pretty quiet other than at the beginning of "You Really Got Me." There are a few occasions where people are walking in front of me, so the sound will change on those occasions, but only for a few seconds at that. I felt no need to adjust anything so here is the raw master recording. I would also like to thank the person sitting immediately to my right in seat 13 who saw that I was wearing mics, recognized the mission and without my knowing it until the show was over, laid low to help me out. Hopefully he'll show up to comment on this show.
