Note | Al Kooper is an organist most famous for being the organ player for Bob Dylan, the Blues Project and Super Session. This is an above Average Audience Tape of interesting benefit concert in Hollywood in late 80's. Notwithstanding all the talent (Dave Mason, Steve Stills, David Crosby, Gene Clark, and Jackson Browne), Buzzy Feiten's ripping guitar solo of a cover of Frank Beard's (ZZ Top) "A Fool for Your Stockings" gets the largest applause and is incredible with some hints of some Tom Petty riffs from "Breakdown" (I bet you guys know the riff). The crowd and the band go nuts. The concert basically sucks, but this cut is incredible. |
