Note | This is commonly believed to be a soundboard, and it certainly sounds great, but some clapping in a couple of places between songs seems to indicate an external mic. There are a couple of level adjustments made during Butterflies, and a tiny piece of How I Miss You is missing because of a tape flip. Overall, this is not one of the better performances you'll hear. Dave's band at this point was pretty shitty (pre-Taylor, Chris, and Nate), and I dare you to try to get through this version of Floaty, which features Petra Haden on vocals (who sounds exactly like Courtney Love). Even worse, she does some sort of puppet show (I'm serious) before they play the song. Foos rule, and if you're tracing their history, this is a great show to get from the early days, but the magic is about a year away here. |
