| J-Card Comment | Some hum from Melvin Spark's amp. I debated if I should seed this. It isn't complete. This is really only for the completist, not for everyone. Had it been artists I would most likely not have seeded it. My unit fell with 2 tunes to go in the set and it shut off. But it is JIMMY O. SMITH! During the show Jimmy Smith wanted to kick my ass for smiling at him. I was right up against the stage. He saw me smiling at him and said "what you smiling at?" "I'll come down there and kick your ass." My wife leaned over and said to me, "Is he talking to you?" I told her yes. He was still staring at me, and yelled, "I'll kick your bitch's ass too." Too bad I didn't catch it on my MD. After that he turned to Melvin Sparks and told him to play something. Melvin asked him what he wanted him to play. Jimmy yelled, "play anything, why the hell do I pay you?" Melvin was embarrassed but proceeded to play a solo guitar number. He could hardly walk at this point. It's a master soon to check out of this world. R.I.P., even though you wanted to kick my ass. And thanks for the music you left us with. |
