Introduction d1t02. Move d1t03. Introduction d1t04. Tenderly d1t05. Introduction d1t06. A Night in Tunisia d1t07. Introduction d1t08. Dig d1t09. I Got Rhythm ------------------------------------------- Notes: - D1t04 ends with the Bob Garrity announcement being cut short - This source has amost all the Bob Garrity announcements that were cut from the previously seeded LL62. The bass doesn't sound to be quite so muddy, and the hiss seems a little less prominent. Another fine upgrade. -"The Charlie Parker Quartet, the Dizzy Gillespie Group, and the Bud Powell Trio were all booked at Birdland May 16-26; Parker remained (opposite Ella Fitzgerald) through June 3. Davis replaced Gillespie on this night (Gillespie was probably still in Toronto where he'd taken part in the Massey Hall concert with Charlie Parker, Bud Powell, Charles Mingus, and Max Roach). Davis joined Gillespie as a second trumpet one week later (May 23)." -Credit to Peter Losin http://www.plosin.com/ - Thanks to Peter Losin for source!! - QC done by Bgreen |
