SHARE LOSSLESS ! ****** ******************************************* Wow I almost did not get this show done guys. The heat was with us this day about 105 degrees in the beautiful Coachella Valley. We are used to having 125 degrees day during the summer so 105 degrees is pretty weak for us. The annual "Coachella Music & Arts Festival" has been going on every year since 1993 when only about 6,000 people showed up that year. Since then the festival has full-fledged tremendously to the 120,000 people that showed up this year, for a show in Indio, California this is an tremendous turnout. My wife works in a hotel in town (a very nice hotel) and they have been sold out since December 2006 with rooms at 350.00 dollars a night and a minium of a 3 night stay rooms for a weekend were 1100.00. People flew in from Japan, Australia and all over Europe for this festival, this show has really established itselve as one of Indio biggest festival ever...! Now the really good part of all of this is that the festival is about 2 minutes away from my home in walking distance. I live right across the street so I hear all the bands right from my front yard and since the street is closed up during the festival only the people that live on our street are allowed to be there (this is totally awesome) with tickets ranging from 385.00 for a 3 day pass, and almost 3000.00 on eBay its nice to live where I do.!! Stephen Marley was set to start at 6:10 pm on Friday so I was siked all day as I could not wait to go to the show this day. My brother in law called me at about 5:30 and begged me to pick him up for the show. With traffic lined up for miles I said no way but after a couple of minutes of hearing him beg I decided I would race over to his home and pick him up so that he could eeksperince the son of the great "Robert Nesta Marley". I got back from picking him up at about 6:10 the whole time thinking to myself, "what am I doing picking this fool up". I ran thru the crowd setting up my gear as I was running past 120,000 people on a 105 degrees day, this was not easy (my fellow recorders would agree as we have all been in this situation before).. Well luck was on my side as Stephen set did not start until about 6:35 due to technical difficulties, this was the first time ever that I can really say I was happy to hear that they were having problems with the sound as I missed not one song this night. Ganja smoke filled the air and my inner soul as the music began. It was my first time seeing Stephen live and it was awesome. I really enjoyed myself as did my brother in law which kept getting the ganja pipe filled with some really good "Master Kush" really nice high...hheeheeheee I hope you all enjoy this show as the sound was really great and I give a great thumbs up... many will agree and some will not,,heeheee..
