| J-Card Comment | The Beatles in Tokyo, Japan Budokan June 30, 1966 The June 30 show and the first show on July 1st were Videotaped for Nippon TV This is a GREAT concert, the beatles by now are more than Burnt out on Touring & want to settle into the Recording Studio & start creating their next Masterpiece, "Sgt Pepper". They were nearly killed in Manila for snubbing the Marcos regime, lol. They had already dropped songs like, "I Want to Hold Your hand & She Loves You" as they had Evolved SO much from where their music was over the last two years & it was getting tougher to recreate their Rubber Soul and Revolver music live on stage. This show has some great songs still, and it is funny as hell to listen & watch Paul flub the backing Vocals on Nowhere Man & Laugh it off, and then George & Paul are constantly trying to follow the moving Microphone as it never stops rotating from the Creeky Stage, Lol !! The Video Quality on this is what will set this apart from all the other versions, as you will see from the screen shots in the first minutes of the movie, someone did an incredible job "tightening" this up. I have included a "preview clip", it is 36mb Mpeg2... use this to decide for yourself.
