Note(Mali)The band included Oumou Sangare on lead vocals and two women singing backup. All 3
sometimes played shakers that were large gourd bowls with rattles hanging off the
side (not shekeres). They'd throw the bowls into the air and catch them, causing the
beaded strings to hit the bowls. Cool to watch. They all 3 danced all the time, too.
There was also a flute, a bass, an ngoni, an electric guitar, and a djembe.

The last bit is actually info about Oumou Sangare and her music. The rest is announcements of upcoming shows and lots of idiotic babble from the underachieving, utterly dissappointing host of our weak public radio station's weak world music show. The jpg and pdf files are the Chicago Tribune preview and the Critic's Choice from the Chicago Reader. I made the image 4.75" wide, so it'll work as jewel case insert or sleeve insert. The jpg is 200dpi. The image requires legal sized paper (8.5x14).
