Right,....

1 source is from a VHS trade Lowish gen & t'other is from a DVD trade again Lowish gen.
This little project started about 15 months ago & 12 of those months was to find a better source for the balcony cam.
The usual sources for that cam are colour lacked ,hued up green or washed out.A shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittttttttttload i got of those trading trying to find a good one.
I just couldnt understand why everything i was getting were all re-cons ...so i changed tactics & looked for a VHS.
...finally i found one...
THeeeeeNNNN the penny dropped.
I realized the others problems when i saw that the vantage point for the balcony source was nearly 300 ft away(you can see this clearly during Isn't It A Pity when the camera zooms out.
The cam had no good light source & was so far away.Somewhere down the line the source for those others had been tinkered with.

Anyway,
this VHS i obtained was still a couple of gens from the master and does have that VHS edge blur from the copying & because of the distance that the taper was...
but the depth, colour richness etc told me that this was more of the original way it was recorded on the night & closer to the master than anything else i'd seen.

Off we started....
..Lets sync this bugger to the best audio recording of the show...the acclaimed silver boot called "Hari & The Hijack Band".
..Lets make this the 1st decent stereo visual version of Georges last concert.
..Lets make it a 2 cam mix in the original PAL recordings

So although only 2nd shelf..it is still very enjoyable.
More than watchableon the TV,and is the 1st 2cam'd ,definitive audio'd, in sync version to be released of this show ....and is from the best sources that i have seen.

:NOTES:
I did edit the band intros out as they were not filmed,(the floor was) ,and you were left looking at a black screen for nearly 3 minutes.
You won't/shouldn't notice any edits that i made btw.I'm just telling you that i made some so that you don't tell me :) ...but all edits were redundant material.
ALL the balcony sources i obtained during my search ,including the VHS,had a major tape flaw during While My Guitar Gently Weeps so its been fixed as best and i've
added an effect to mask the flaw.It is a better view for it,believe me.
This flaw ,apparently,is on the master tape and was caused from the tape itself having a flaw(a chew up no doubt).Although ..a shortage of battery power is another story.

Oh Yeah.. quick story for ya.
Whilst 1/2 way through the making of this ,a balcony source version came up on another site with the quote that "he hadn't seen a better version."
"Shit" i thourght & snatched a small piece to compare.
Well the source used for this version is easy 2 gens better imo.The colours give that away..."Phew" i was relieved.
He's in for a nice surprize.
