Crowd noise can be heard in between songs making it seem like a really great audience recording. Kind of best of both worlds. This was a benefit concert Steve Earle and 6 String Drag played for MAJIC (Mothers Against Jesse In Congress). 6 String Drag opened with a full electric set while Steve Earle played solo acoustic. After Steve's regular set 6 String Drag came out as his backing band for four songs. What we have here is 6 String Drag's set and the encore not Steve Earle's acoustic performance. 6 String Drag was hot off their heels from the 1st recording session of their High Hat album(produced by Steve Earle and Ray Kennedy). "Hillbilly Highway" is a live rarity for a Steve Earle show. "Broken String Blues" Is an improv during a string change. |
