Comment | Fox 15th Anniversary Show
George Porter Jr, Bass Ian Neville, Guitar Art Neville, Organ Russell Batiste, Drums Skerik, Sax Don't forget Sesame St from Art at the end (I love that!!). Also, there were two bass solos, the second was after Jungle Man and toward the end of the solo, George ripped out a brief Power of Soul tease before busting Funkify. The Cissy was a classic Cissy repeater start, another thing I used to just love about the fM's. I talked to Ian about Take What I Want after the show ans he said he started a different tune that was some Clapton thing, and then Poppa Funk started singing some "Take What I Want' lyrics over it. That stuff was NARSTY. Ian did really well! Turn him up tonight Jeffrey! |
