Isle Of Wight 08/30/1970 Free were one of the great bands of the early 1970s and sorely underrated. In concert they delivered a powerful blend of blues played in a unique way that only they could deliver. Nobody did or ever could sound like Free. With the sublime vocals of Paul Rodgers, the distinctive rhythm section of Andy Frazer and Simon Kirk topped by the anguished guitar playing of Paul Kossoff they were a force to be reckoned with as this recording of the complete Isle Of Wight set proves. This show has been released in bits on video but the whole show has never seen an official release. The disc also contains the only remaining soundboard tracks from their 1969 performance at the festival.
