| Tech Note | Veruca Salt, Studio 105, Paris, France, FM broadcast. This is from a cassette I purchased over 10 years ago from Mystery Train Records in Harvard Square, Cambridge, MA. The cassette itself is a TDK SD90 (Type II). I couldn't tell you what the generation is, but it doesn't have a lot of tape hiss and such crap- it's pretty smooth. Conservative A-, strict B+. I put the cassette onto disc from Onkyo deck TA-RW313, onto Maxell CDR Music Pro with Pioneer cd recorder PDR-509. I created the wav files with Roxio Cd Creator 8, and the flac files with Flac Frontend. I love this band, and this is a great example of them as they were gaining popularity. There is dj talk in between songs quite frequently, and the last track gets cut short on the broadcast. I hope y'all dig this. |
