Both nights at the Miami Jai-Alai Fronton are excellent shows in their own right, following closely on the heels of the amazing 6-16 and 6-18 shows, all part of a short 8 show summer run. This Saturday night show, often overshadowed by the unique show the following night, is crackling with energy, and features an amazing China>Rider, a 28+ minute Playin', and the 9th Scarlet ever. As a foreshadow of the Healy weirdness to follow the next night, there is a strange electronic effect at the beginning of Greatest Story - the first time I have heard this type of effect used at a Dead show. Healy must have had a new toy. The SBD mix is somewhat low in terms Garcia's guitar due to his loud stage volume. Thus, when coupled with the excellent Jerry Moore AUD, which is predominated by Garcia, the matrix really works well with everyone represented and balanced.
