Comment | * First time played. "The Royal Toe" is a John Skehan instrumental
and the title (as with many of John's tunes) is a work-in-progress. The inspiration for this tune is gout (honest -- check your history books, gout was a problem suffered by many royal families, hence the current title). John and Todd are working on lyrics for this lovely tune. ** First time played. "Daddy-O" is a great little ditty that has as its inspiration two old fiddle tunes: "The Quail is a Pretty Bird," and "Sail Away, Lady." This song features Todd on banjo and five- and six-part harmonies. |
