Note | I must have been 15, 1969, and I distinctly remember asking dad if he would buy me their album. That song on the radio, of course, Inagaddadavida was actually played like regularly and everyone was thrown off by how long it was, what? 20+ minutes. And they'd play the full song. Course, that was FM and FM was, at that time, much looser and less business oriented. Still, it stood out and it was so trippy. It really brought the psycedelic thang out there from that hippy time onto the air waves in a real distinct way. Never did think much of the album. And most folks pretty much had enough of the song after a year or something. But still, it was a blast that surprised and delighted. |
