The Fillmore Auditorium San Francisco, CA December 9, 2006 This is a recording of Calexico's second enthralling, full-length set opening for Los Lobos during Lobos's annual December stand at the venerable Fillmore. Rarely do opening bands receive the kind of reverent attention and response that Calexico did that weekend, so that makes these gigs particularly memorable and enjoyable for me to share. Among my favorites out of this set are Jesus & Tequila and Sonic Wind, during which the crowd was so absorbed in the music, one literally could have heard a pin drop leading into Jacob's solo.
