| Tech Note | This a FLAC-format recording of Aimee Mann's Christmas show at Town Hall in NYC on December 12, 2006. Someone who wishes to remain anonymous recorded it and asked me to torrent it for him. One of the crew was nice enough to give him Aimee's set list that was taped to the monitor speaker in front of her. I scanned it and included it in this distribution. This was recorded binaurally with a set of Core Sound High End Binaural microphones using tightly matched DPA 4061 capsules (HEB/4061), and a M-Audio MicroTrack 24/96 flash memory recorder using a Transcend 4 GB compact flash memory card. The L/M/H switch was set to "L" and the level controls half way up. This was recorded at 16-bits/44.1 KS/s. It was simply transferred into a PC from the CF card, split into tracks using Adobe Audition and FLAC-ified. No processing (e.g., compression, EQ, limiting, fades) was done. I've included two CD label files for use with cdrLabel (see cdrLabel.com for more information). Aimee had a few guests: Paul F Tompkins, Grant Lee Phillips and Nellie McKay. They were all great fun. McKay's voice is something else, and she has a wonderful presence. Duke Levine's guitar playing was something special this night. Listen over headphones!
